VirusTracker is a true public service website, designed to help educate and prevent the spread of H1N1, a strain of influenza that has already caused thousands of deaths.
VirusTracker is powered by The Significance Foundation, a United States-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. As part of its mission of supporting important health-based causes, The Significance Foundation has teamed up with InFACT Global and other partners to make VirusTracker a reality. All support from VirusTracker will be used specifically to help fund on-going research and collaboration among front-line health care workers, as well as ICU clinicians and researchers. The goal of InFACT Global is simple: to improve the care of critically ill patients, including those suffering from H1N1, through research and clinical care. As of January 31, 2010, worldwide more than 209 countries and overseas territories or communities have reported laboratory confirmed cases of pandemic influenza H1N1 2009, including over 15,174 deaths.
